London Eats | Dalston Yard - Street Feast

On a Saturday evening, in a little side road in trendy East London (Dalston) lies Dalson Yard. If you like food on the go, under a roof filled with cool, trendsetting east Londonders, then this is the place for you.

Having heard so many great things about this little spot, I was eager to see whether the hype lived up to its name. Myself and  two friends only went for dessert since we were already full from dinner. Seeing as the restaurant we was in happen to have sold out of desserts (read: food Gods knew I needed to take a trip to D.Y) we had to go to Dalston Yard.  We paid a small entrance fee of £3 (free before 7pm) and was temporary 'tattooed' with a stamp on my wrist.

I'm kicking myself for having such a big dinner and not leaving room for all the food they had to offer. I'm even more gutted that I didn't get the chance to try Yum Bun, which looks absolutely delicious. There are so many vendors cooking up all types of food from Korean style wraps at Kimchinary to Lobster rolls at B.O.B Lobster. See the full list here

Dalston Yard opens every Friday and Saturday evenings from 5:30pm - Midnight, from May 1st until 26th of September 2015.

I went on a Saturday evening, around 9pm and it was already filled with so much people. There are a lot of areas where you can sit, socialise, eat and drink. They even had an open fire for the post 9pm chills.

So on to the dessert ..

We choose Scoopsy Daisy. It was the first thing we saw and to be honest, I'm so happy we did. Scoospy Daisy serves all real and naturaly fruit ice-creams. They blend natural yogurt and fresh frozen fruits together to make the most creamiest and soft ice-cream. The best part is, it's totally guilt free. You get to choose 2 flavours to be mixed together (raspberry, kiwi, blueberries, bananas, strawberries). I went for the blueberries and banana and it was ah-mazing.

Dalston Yard is moments away from Dalston Junction Overground Station (approx 40 secs). So there is no excuse to hop on the overground or bus (direct bus No.149 or 242 from Liverpool Street Station or No.38 from Angel Station) to support all this hard working vendors.  It is definitely a foodies paradise for something cheap, cheerful and a  a great place to have a fun evening out with your friends, family, partner or colleagues.

I'm already planning trip numbero dos and this time I'm making sure that I eat at every vendor.

East London is my home town and its becoming one of the trendiest places to live, eat and play. I'm so happy that there is a hub where people can get together to share a common interest... FOOD.

Thank you for reading!
